Military Base Reuse

Bingham’s strategy when representing base reuse authorities and developers of closed military installations is simple: we help our clients define their goals, and we work with them to achieve those goals as efficiently and effectively as possible. Just as base reuse and privatization work calls for creative planning, it also calls for creative lawyering. Our Military Base Reuse and Privatization Group has the breadth of substantive knowledge and the depth of real-world experience to help our clients achieve their goals.

Bingham’s land use, environmental, projects, real estate and utilities lawyers represent public and private parties concerning base closures and other diverse issues related to the reuse and privatization of military installations. Our 25+ attorney Base Reuse Group focuses on this multidisciplinary field.

We have assisted all manner of public and private entities in reuse of former military installations and privatization of housing and utilities at active bases. We have investigated site conditions at numerous military installations in California and other states. And we have negotiated — and litigated — with several military services in order to obtain necessary cleanups and/or cleanup funds on behalf of our clients.
